The Yoga Shala’s Vinyasa is a style & method of Yogasana practice created by Jason Douglas Schramm, over the last 25 years. His Vinyasa practice is greatly influenced by the stillness of mind and introspection of Vipassana meditation, the fluid movement synchronized with deep breathing of Tai Chi, the dynamism of Ashtanga & the practical personal development and spirituality of Stoicism.

In The Yoga Shala’s Vinyasa Level 1 classes, students are introduced to meditation, deep breathing, as well as fundamental Yoga postures and movements.

Our Vinyasa Level 2* classes build on what has been given in the Level 1 classes, with some more intermediate/advanced postures added to the fundamentals, for students to begin working on more challenging postures and complex combinations of movements providing them the opportunity to deepen their concentration, meditation and introspection.

*Please note and respect that ALL students at The Yoga Shala Rawai must begin with and be proficient at our Level 1 classes before attending Level 2. No matter how much they’ve practiced at other studios or how many teacher training certificates they’ve acquired.
