Healthy Back Yoga

Stand up straight with your shoulders back


This slower paced Hath Yoga class is specifically focused to help those with backs that are stiff and/or in mild to moderate pain or discomfort.

Our Healthy Back Yoga class will take students through a series of basic Hatha Yoga postures and movements that move the spine in all 6 directions... twisting right and left and laterally bending right and left, as well as forward and backward.

There will also be strengthening of the abdominal and back muscles to promote excellent posture and better protect the spine long term. And of course, stretching... specifically of the lower and upper back, chest and shoulders, as well as the entirety of the legs.

This class is not just for those with back problems or discomfort however, anyone who wants or needs a slower paced Hatha practice will enjoy and benefit from this practice.
